FRASER, John James (Jack) - 61, Upper Sackville, Halifax Co., formerly of Lower Barneys River, Pictou Co., died January 6, 1999, at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John Mitchell and Margaret Thelma (Ferguson) Fraser. He had been a driver with Coastal Transport Inc. for the past 10 years and had been previously a broker with United Van Lines. He was a member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Merigomish. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Joyce Miller; daughters, Heather (Mrs. Arthur Stewart), Lower Barneys River; Janice (Mrs. Colin Brown), Halifax; son, Blair, at home; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Clare. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request of the family. Private family memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday in P&K MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Rev. Jeannie Stright officiating. Burial in Telford Cemetery. No flowers by request of the family. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
