HALLIDAY, Gordon
HALLIDAY, Gordon - 90, Shady Oaks st Home, Union Centre, formerly of Westville, died July 3, 1993, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Harold and Florence (Cameron) Halliday. He was an adherent of St. Paul United Church, Westville. A coal miner for several years, he had worked at the Allan Shaft and later worked at various jobs in farming and lumbering. He had resided in Salt Springs for several years. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Provost Corps of the Royal Canadian Army. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 35, Westville. He is survived by two sisters, Sadie (Mrs. Russell MacTavish), Mae (Mrs. Andrew Hale), both of Hamilton, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Ida MacKay; three brothers, William, Luther, Cameron. Visitation will be 35, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. Joseph Lafave officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Foxbrook.
