SUTHERLAND (Loomer), Eleanor Bernice SUTHERLAND (Loomer), Eleanor Bernice - 88, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Upper Plymouth and MacLean Street, New Glasgow, died Tuesday, December 22, 1998, in the villa. Born in Canning, Queens Co., she was a daughter of the late Brett Baxter and Mable (Potter) Loomer. She was a retired music teacher, organist and choir director of First Baptist Church and many other churches. She was a member of the Golden Glenn Senior Citizens Club, the Seniors Help Line and the Executives Visiting Homemakers. Surviving are her daughter, Alexandra (Sandra) M. Sutherland, Halifax; son, Brett R. Sutherland, Windsor; brother, Allison, Green Bay, Wis.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild and her companion, Russel Brownell. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry and brother, H. Averd. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in First United Baptist Church, New Glasgow, on Monday, January 18, at 2 p.m. Rev. Allan Jorgenson officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
