MASON, Margaret Agnes - 98, Stellarton, Pictou County, died March 11, 1994, at home. Born in Sutherlands River, Pictou County, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Barbara (Bowran) Rankin. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton; a charter member of the Halifax group of the Business and Professional Ladies Club and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Westville. She was a legal secretary with the Hon. D.C. Sinclair, K.C., from 1933-50; private secretary to the attorney general for the province of Nova Scotia from 1950-60 and was later private secretary to the judges of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. She is survived by a nephew, John B. Baker, Q.C., Stellarton. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; four half-brothers, Charles Tye, George Tye, John Baker, Samuel Baker; half-sister, Hisman Baker. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23 in First Presbyterian Church, Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Burial will be in Murray Point Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
