CHISHOLM, Daniel Fraser - 88, Pleasant Street, New Glasgow, died July 26, 1998, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Moose River, he was a son of the late Robert David and Margaret Jessie Chisholm. He served with the Canadian Army during the Second World War (1940-1945) and had worked as a mechanic most of his life. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Blue Mountain, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, New Glasgow. Surviving are daughters, Elizabeth (Liz) (Mrs. Alex MacDonald), Linacy; Janet, New Glasgow; Joan (Mrs. Hughie Mason), Waterville; sons, Clarence, Fall River; Alden (Aldie), Little Harbour; Jim, North Bay, Ont.; sister, Violet Chisholm, the United States; brother, Melvin, New Glasgow; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Elizabeth; sisters, Jessie, Mabel, Gertrude Hanson, Catherine MacDonald; brothers, Edward, Jack. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, legion service 6:30 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, all in P&K MacDonald Funeral Home, Rev. Kevin May officiating. Burial in Kenzieville Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to any charity.
