MacPHEE, Lloyd E. - 77, James River, recently of Brookfield, died March 28, 1998, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born and raised in James River, he was a son of the late MacKichan and Annie (MacEachern) MacPhee. He owned and operated the Maple Leaf General Store in James River for many years. Since the mid-1960s, he operated a trucking business in James River. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Marshy Hope. Surviving are his wife, the former Lila Ross; stepsons, Donald, Gerald, Cyril and Owen Ross, Brookfield; stepdaughter, Tanya Ross, Brookfield; sister, Edith, Halifax; 10 step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew; a grandniece and grandnephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Gordon, John; sisters, Jean Smith, Ruth. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in MacIsaac Funeral Home, Antigonish. Funeral 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kenzieville Presbyterian Church, Kenzieville, Rev. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial at a later date in Glenbard Cemetery, James River. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Multiple Sclerosis Society, Atlantic Division.
