MacLEOD, William Grover - 80, 201 High St., New Glasgow, formerly of White Hill, Pictou County, died August 18, 1993, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in White Hill, he was a son of the late William and Margaret (MacCaffary) MacLeod. He lived in White Hill until 1967 when he moved to New Glasgow. He was a retired woodsman and an employee of Hawker Siddeley Limited, Trenton, where he worked for 39 years. He was a member of the Gunshop Memory Club and 55 Plus Club, New Glasgow; former owner/operator of MacLeod's Taxi, Trenton for eight years and an adherent of the Salvation Army. He is survived by his wife, the former Iris Shrum; six daughters, Eloise Anthony, Helena (Mrs. Wilbert Anthony), both of Lac La Hashe, B.C.; Anna (Mrs. Daniel MacPherson), Trenton; Ruth (Mrs. Bud Myles), Pictou Landing; Donelda Foote, Kenzieville; Wanda (Mrs. Gordon Halliday), Fox Brook; six stepdaughters; five stepsons; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Florence; sister, Eloise; two brothers, John, Herman. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in New Glasgow Salvation Army Citadel, Capt. Senior officiating. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
