Charles H. Bayne

BAYNE, Charles H.
One of the older and best known citizens in Halifax, in the person of Charles H. Bayne, passed away at noon to-day at the residence of his brother, A.N. Bayne, 91 South Park St. Mr. Bayne, who for years carried on business in Halifax, was a member of the older clubs and societies of the city. Mr. Bayne, who was unmarried, lived at the Westminster Apartments until his recent illness when he resided with his brother. Mr. Bayne was in his early days with Halifax Banking Co., and was also manager of the Dartmouth Foundry Co., later in the Real Estate business. He was a member of the the Halifax Club and the Royal Nova Scotia yacht Squadron. Mr. Bayne was a man who was held in the very highest esteem. He was most charitably inclined, visiting the hospitals and always much interested in the welfare of others.
