"Donald MacNeill Smith There passed away on February 17th, 1964 Mr. Donald MacNeill Smith, Wood Islands. Born in Little Sands September 28th, 1883, son of Angus and Mrs. Euphemia Smith.
His early years were spent in Little Sands except for a few years spent in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia where he was employed as a bookeeper with Fred MacGee Ltd.
He is survived by his sorrowing widow(nee Agnes Munn Ferguson), one brother Ewen, retired RCMP, Kelowna, BC, one sister Miss Mary G. Smith, Little Sands, a step-daughter Mrs. J.Emery and step-grandson Kenneth Emery, Wood Islands.
His funeral was held Friday, February 21st, from the Little Sands United Church conducted by Rev. David Barwise and Rev. Donald Nicholson. The pallbearers were: Daniel J. Compton, Donald Crawford, Alexander Stewart, John MacKay, Douglas Stewart and Frank Panting.
The flowerbearers were: Clifford Keenan, T.A. Keenan and Daniel Munn. He was laid to rest in Little Sands Cemetery.
