MacKENZIE, Bert
Bert MacKenzie, 73, Campbells Road, Westville, died Monday, February 19 *1990*, at home. Born in Lyons
Brook, he was a son of the late George and Christena (Heighton) MacKenzie. A member of St. Andrew's
Presbyterian Church, Westville, he was a veteran of the Second World War, a member of Royal Canadian
Legion Branch 28, Stellarton, and a welder at Maritime Steel Foundry until retirement. He is survived by his
wife, the former Bernice Hughes; six daughters, Shirley, Karen (Mrs George Byrne), both of Toronto; Patricia
(Mrs Edwin Fraser), Hillside; Esther (Mrs David Creed), Jessie, Marion, all of Westville; three sons, Lloyd, Roland, Leslie, all of Westville; a half-sister, Muriel (Mrs Charles Jackson), Westville; two half-brothers, Simeon, Lauchlin, both of Westville; 29 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Esther Higgins; four brothers, James, John, Francis, Gordon. Funeral was held today (Wednesday) February 21, *1990*, from Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Burial in Auburn Cemetery.
