FOLEY, Thomas Harold
FOLEY, Thomas Harold - 68, Westville, died on Wednesday, March 10, 1999, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born and raised in Westville, he was a son of the late Fred and Mary (Higgins) Foley. He was a retired businessman who operated a seafood market for many years in Westville, and as well for a time in New Glasgow. Prior to that, he was employed as a welder at Pictou Shipyards and Hawker Siddeley Ltd., Trenton. He was a resident of Glen Haven Manor for the past few years. He served on the Westville town council for several years and was a provincial appointee to the town's police commission. He had been an active member of Church of the Holy Name, Westville, where he served as warden for a number of years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and was a recipient of a lifetime member ship in the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by son, Thomas (and wife Carol), Westville; grandchildren, Nancy Lee (and husband Terry MacAulay), Ajax, Ont.; Michelle (and husband Terry Gagnon), Halifax; Trevor (and wife Karen), Westville, as well as three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jean White; sisters, Gertie, Emma and Helen; brothers, Charlie, Clifford and Earl. Visitation will be held today from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Church of the Holy Name, Westville, Rev. Reginald Currie officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to any charity.
