MacDONALD, Hector Hugh - 87, Inverary Manor, Inverness, formerly of Long Point, passed away March 15, 1999 at the manor. Born in Creighnish Rear, he was a son of the late James Angus and Mary (Gillis) MacDonald. He was a member of Stella Maris Parish, Creignish, and was a retired lobster fisherman. Surviving are daughters, Linda (Mrs. Sandy MacLean), Shirley (Mrs. Neil Campbell), Long Point; son, Bill, New Glasgow; brothers, Dougald, Bernie, Port Hawkesbury; Tom, Woodstock, NB; John Duncan, Orangedale; Jimmy, Creignish; Alex, Hamilton; Hugh, Burlington, Ont.; sisters, Mrs. Flora MacDonald, Port Colborne, Ont.; Mrs. Florence MacDonald, Mary (Mrs. John MacDonald), Hamilton; Josephine (Mrs. Jim Cassidy), London, Ont.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Mae Chisholm; son, Jimmy; sister, Anna, Ann Margaret; brothers, Vincent, Alex, John, Archie, John Dan, Joe, Angus. Arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Whitty Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 19, in Stella Maris Church, Creignish, Rev. Hughie D. MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Inverary Manor.
