HAWBOLDT, George Weldon - 66, Plainfield, Pictou Co., died September 29, 1997, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Charles and Lizzie (McCabe) Hawboldt. He was a former employee of Warren Maritimes Ltd., retiring 10 years ago due to ill health. Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Baillie; daughter, Wendy (Mrs. Stanley Langille), Plainfield; son, Paul, Pictou; two grandsons; brothers, Clarence, Greens Point; Charles, Oshawa, Ont.; John, Millsville; Gordon, Eldon, Maple Ridge, B.C.; sisters, Minnie Peckham, Elmfield; Harriet Marshall, Sylvester; Doris Spillett, Brampton, Ont. He was predeceased by son, Alfred; sister, Laura; brother, Bert. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday in West Branch United Church, Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Burial in Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
