SNELL, Martin Frederick (Fred) - 79, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of George Street, died July 4, 1998, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Maine, he was a son of the late Frederick and Dina (Roach) Snell. He had been a resident of Pictou County most of his life. He was an adherent of the Presbyterian church. Surviving are his wife, the former Gwyenth Robson, New Glasgow; daughters, Gloria (Mrs. Merle Lamb), Linda (Mrs. Delbert MacLean), New Glasgow; Dena MacIntosh, Ontario; Diane Imlay, Westville; Joyce (Mrs. Peter MacLeod), Abercrombie; sons, Brian, Gary, Thorburn; Terry, Westville; Wayne, New Glasgow; Kenny, Ontario; 25 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sons, Norman, Charlie, Barry; several brothers and sisters. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, both in H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, Rev. Norman Marple officiating. Burial in Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only.
