TEED, James E. - 78, Spring Garden Road, Westville, died July 2, 1998, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late James William and Florence (Snell) Teed. He was an overseas veteran of the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 35, Westville, as well as the Overseas War Veteran's Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed entertaining with his violin. He was a miner by occupation, working in the Sudbury nickel mines and later in the Allan Shaft and the Drummond coal mines. Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Coulet; daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Douglas Cyr), Cathy (Mrs. Alfred Baker), Westville; sons, Michael, Trenton; John, Sylvester; David, Westville; eight grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen (Mrs. Robert Boskovich), Toronto; Deanna (Mrs. James Madore), New Minas; Lona (Mrs. Michael Cahill), Strathmore, Ont. He was predeceased by son, Charles; sisters, Cora Johanssen, Geneva Rae, Marjorie Jackson; brothers, Donald, Leonard. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in the Church of the Holy Name, Westville, Rev. Reg Currie officiating. Burial in Holy Name Cemetery, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations to The Lung Association or any charity.
