ACORN, Robert Otis (Bob) - 48, Sutherlands River, Pictou Co., died September 10, 1997, at home. Born at Peters Road, P.E.I., he was a son of Ameilia Elizabeth (Millie) (Leeco) Acorn and the late Otis William Acorn. He was employed with Randy Arsenault Construction Ltd. in carpentry and electrical work. He worked as a lobster fisherman with Ralph Arbuckle. He was a member of Sutherlands River Presbyterian Church and Pictou East Liberal Association. Surviving are his wife, the former Faye MacLellan; daughters, Michelle, Natalie, Stephanie, at home; sisters, Myrtle (Mrs. Donnie Dwyer), Farmingham, Mass.; Lucy (Mrs. Merrill Butler), Peters Road; Emma (Mrs. Bill Westaway), Little Harbour Road; Joyce (Mrs. Brian Culleton), Mississauga, Ont.; his mother-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Lester; brother-in-law, Victor Grant. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday, in P.&K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Sutherlands River Presbyterian Church, Rev. Glenn MacDonald officiating. Burial in Telford Cemetery. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or any charity.
