PHALEN (Dadeau) (MacDonald), Anna Matilda - 95, Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, died
September 24, 1997, in the home. Born in Tracadie, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Joseph
and Sarah (DeLorey) Dadeau. She was a member of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou,
and a charter member of their Catholic Womens League and member of Pictou West Liberal
Association. She enjoyed seniors activities throughout the county, attending many dances and card parties. Surviving are daughters, Mary (Mrs. Milton Porter), Pictou; Patricia (Mrs. Jerry Guilliams), Perryville, Mo.; sons, Joseph MacDonald, Bathurst, N.B.; John R. and Daniel A. MacDonald, Toronto; sisters, Mary Natale, Weymouth, Mass.; Ethelreda Chisholm, Shad Bay; 31 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Mabel, William, Gerald, Edward, Brenda, David, Patrick, Bruce. She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael R. MacDonald; second husband, Harry Phalen; sons, Angus, Allan, Bernard, Michael in infancy; daughter, Elizabeth in infancy; sisters, Margaret Pitts, Beatrice DeLorey; brothers, Vincent, Henry. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in Stella Maris Church, Pictou, Rev. Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.
