CANTLEY, G. Roy - 72, 134 Hudson St., Stellarton, died August 28, 1997, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Hillside, Trenton, he was a son of the late George Roy and Annie (Roach) Cantley. He was a resident of Stellarton for most of his married life and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. He was an employee of the former Hawker Siddeley until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served with the Royal Canadian Artillery. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29, Trenton. Surviving are his wife, the former Theresa Marie Brown; sons, Glenn, Stellarton; Dennis, Trenton; Kenneth, Sylvester; Gregory, Montreal; daughters, Norma (Mrs. Greg Higgins), Westville; Patricia (Mrs. Robert Holley), Stellarton; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Douglas, New Glasgow; David, Vancouver, B.C.; sisters, Dorothy Kenny, Trenton; Viola Muir, Westville; several nieces and nephews. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Charles Cameron officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or any charity.
