CLARK, Andrew William
CLARK, Andrew William - 92, Glen Haven Manor, formerly of 187 Ghana Ave., New Glasgow, passed away at the manor on Friday, August 29, 1997. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late William and Ellen (Clyke) Clark. He was a retired employee of the Town of New Glasgow. He was a member of Second United Baptist Church and belonged to the Men's Brotherhood. He is survived by his best friend, Rita Mae (Clark) Johnson; daughter, Vivian (Mrs. Leroy Clark), Montreal; stepdaughters, Mrs. Frances Yearwood, Don Mills, Ont.; Mrs. Carrie Paris, Mrs. Margaret Marie Clark, both of Scarborough, Ont.; stepson, Stephen Johnson, New Glasgow; sister, Vivian Clark, New York; several grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Sadie Lawrence; brothers, John and Leu; sister, Margaret. His remains are resting at R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, with visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Second United Baptist Church, Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery. Donations may be made to Second United Baptist Church or the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
