POWELL, Donald W. [Donnie]
POWELL, Donald W. (Donnie) - 87, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of 128 North Ford St., Stellarton, died March 10, 1998, in the villa. Born in Lourdes, Pictou Co., he was a son of the late Daniel and Bella H. (Langille) Powell. He was a lifelong resident of Stellarton and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. He was a member of Albion Masonic Lodge 5, New Glasgow, and the Fuller IOOF Lodge 5, Stellarton. He was a member of Stellarton Fire Department. He had owned and operated a corner grocery store and post office in Lourdes for many years. He was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by sister, Leitha, half-sister, Georgina. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, IOOF service 6:30 p.m. today, Masonic service 6:45 today, funeral 3:30 p.m. Thursday, all in H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Burial in Little Harbour Cemetery. Donations to any charity.
