DANIEL RODERICK MacDONALD



MacDONALD, Daniel Roderick
MacDONALD, Daniel Roderick -- 64, Westville Highway, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, June 28, 1998, at his home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Margaret J. Druhan. In his earlier years, he was empoyed with Eastern Wood Workers as well as various mills throughout Pictou County. He became a member of the Canadian Armed Forces and later worked at Michelin Tire Corp. for 25 years until retirement. He took a keen interest in local affairs and enjoyed as hobby, writing articles to the local newspapers with his viewpoints. He is survived by his wife, the Sylvia (Tattrie)(Campbell); stepdaughters, Shelley Campbell (John), Stellarton; Debbie Smith (Fred) Springville; Donna Campbell (Mike) Stellarton; stepson, Gary Campbell, Westville Highway; nephews, Jack Druhan, Little Egypt Road; Pat Druhan, New Ross; 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Dolly Martin; half-brothers, John Druhan and Donald Druhan. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Holy Name, Westville, Rev. Reg Currie officiating. Interment will be in Holy Name Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in his memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity.
