MacKAY, Joan
MacKAY, Joan - 60, Poplar Street, Pictou, died June 14, 1997, in Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Elizabeth (Langille) Smith, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, and the late Walter Smith. She was a resident of Pictou for over 30 years. Surviving are daughter, Elizabeth, New Glasgow, sister, Lillian Swan, Riverton; brothers, Francis and Chester, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alex; brother Garfield. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Presbyerian Church, Pictou, Rev. Keith Stright officiating. Burial in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
