Brief History of Dobczyce On two hills above this town is the ruins of royal castle and walls of the original town. Casimir the Great endowed the town with civic rights in 1362. The local community has made efforts to restore the well preserved lower parts of the 14th century castle. The ruins of the walls mark the extent of the old town. The new church is home to the Pieta from Wit Stwosz's workshop, along with the old Renaissance baptismal font.

Brief History of Myslenice King Casimir the Great gave this town civic rights and it was laid out in a mediaval style, with a Market Place and streets running out from the corners. It was located on the old trading route from Krakow to Hungary. The parish church has a fine painting of the Virgin in the Roman style dating to the 16th century.
