Lubelskie is the Lublin region of Eastern Poland, sometimes referred to as Lubelska, Lubelski & Lubelszczyzny! I live in the region and here I write about, and photograph, what I see and discover. It is a big region, and we have to rely on public transport to get us about, but bit by bit I add things which you are not going to find elsewhere on the internet.

These pages are growing as quickly as I can research and write them. I have another site (Genealogy in Lubelskie), which I maintain for a genealogy group, which has additional information (place descriptions as well, which one day will include every single village in the region) and includes things like maps of the region. Again, it is a growing site, but there is only one of me...

An important sub-site to these pages is the Photo Tours of Lubelskie. There you will find many pages, each devoted to a different city, town or village in the region. they include many, many pictures and are often put together as a walk around the place. These pages try and recreate the Lubelskie region in your own home. The number of pages is regularly increasing, as well as the content on each page expanded. Many pages also include maps of the places. An extension of this is the Virtual Reality Tours, where towns and villages are recreated in photographic or picture form and allow you to wander around them and examine things of interest. This is still in its infancy, but it is expanding fast.

The Buildings in Lubelskie is a wide ranging survey of building types in the region, old to new, small to large, and also include oddments like telephone booths. Interiors are also covered, although it is a much slower process to gather this kind of information.

Rural Lubelskie looks at life in the countryside, both past and present. One page, for example, looks at farming, another at how wooden houses were built etc.

The Poland Page is for all those aspects of Polish life which are true for all of Poland.
