4M6. Dębowa Kłoda (Debowa Kloda)
The Gmina of Debowa Kloda
The gmina has a population of 4600 and covers an area of 188 sq.km.
This is a large gmina with a small population. The reason for this is that,
although the northern part is part of the Parczew Plain and is mainly arable,
the southern half is part of the Leczna-Wlodawa Lake District, and heavily
forested. There are about 940 farms in the gmina, and as there is only
4600 people, some of which will live in villages, the number of people
living on an average farm can only be 2 or 3.
The most well known feature of this gmina is the Bialka Lake, which
has a depth of 18.2m, significant for this partof Poland.
