- Volunteer assistance to the host of the province in which you are researching or in which you live. Province hosts are always looking for more information or resources to add to their sites!
- Transcribe Polish records. PolandGenWeb is currently looking for volunteers to transcribe records pertaining to Poles all over the world. Visit the Polish Records Transcription Project for more information.
- Join or make a contribution to your nearest Polish Genealogical Society. The resources they make available to their members are invaluable.
- If you can read and write Polish, volunteer to translate for those who do not. At present, volunteers to translate from English to Polish (and the reverse) are very few. You can contact one of the Polish Genealogical Societies or offer to translate via one of the many mailing lists or message boards available.
- Transcribe tombstone readings at a Polish cemetery in your area. The USGenWeb Tombstone Transcription Project is always looking for volunteers.

Hosting a Province
and Other Ways to Contribute
PolandGenWeb is looking for volunteers to host province pages. Hosts, or province coordinators, are responsible for creating and maintaining the province pages. Your job as province host would be to provide information on your pages to help others researching in that province. You may host the province alone, or you may have one or more individuals assisting you. A knowledge of HTML or a web design program is recommended, since you will be responsible for creating, editing, and uploading your pages. Assistance is available to get you started. You do not need to provide web space of your own. The RootsWeb server (which hosts the PolandGenWeb project) will provide space for your pages for free, if you do not wish to provide your own.
