In addition to the guidelines posted on the WorldGenWeb Project: Policy and Procedures page, the following applies to all province coordinators:

All contents of a province web site belong to the PC.  The CC or other PCs may not copy the contents of the PC's province web pages, in part or in whole, without express consent of the PC.  A RootsWeb website account may be reissued (by RootsWeb) to the CC in the event of abandonment of province pages.

All hosts must provide a current e-mail address on the home page of their province sites.

All province websites must have a link to a corresponding message board system.  The PC is not required to link to any specific message board and is not required to personally maintain said message board.

A link to the WorldGenWeb home page and to the PolandGenWeb home page is required on all province sites.

If a policy does not exist, either in PGW or WGW policies, the WGW Advisory Board will be consulted for acceptance or rejection of proposed policy.

Repeated violation of PolandGenWeb or WorldGenWeb policy may result in the PC being removed from the project.

Each Province Coordinator (PC) must report in to the Country Coordinator (CC) once a month.  A reminder message will be sent by the CC on the first of every month.  Failure to check in for two consecutive months will result in the province pages being considered abandoned, and the province will be made available for adoption.

If a PC fails to reply to CC admin messages which require a reply, the PC's province pages may be unlinked from the PolandGenWeb site.  If a valid reason for failure to respond can be established within thirty (30) days from the province being unlinked, the PC's province pages will be re-linked to the PolandGenWeb site.  If no contact has been established at the end of the thirty (30) day period, the province will be made available for adoption by a new PC.

All province sites must be updated at least once every 12 months as required by WGW policy.

PolandGenWeb encourages all PCs to provide some or all of the following on their province websites:

• History of the province


• Province resource addresses (archives, parishes, civil offices, etc.)


• Province and powiat maps


• Any information helpful to those researching in the province

Province Coordinators may recruit Powiat Coordinators for their province.  Powiat Coordinators are subject to all PolandGenWeb and WorldGenWeb policy as well as the policy of the Province Coordinator.
