Each of the areas of Polynesia have their own specific sites. You can access those sites by clicking on the links to each island below. These sites provide access and the ability to contribute to surnames lists, transcriptions of documents, query posting facilities and more. For more information about the transcription of documents for any PacificGenWeb project, please click here.

The geographical region of the Pacific Ocean known as Polynesia covers a vast area and contains many small island countries. Polynesia stretches from Hawaii in the west almost to Australia and includes such places as New Zealand, Tonga and Western Samoa, to name but a few. The following are the main islands forming Polynesia:
