The small cemetery is located behind where the Kensington United Church once stood. Demolished in 1968, the red brick church was built in 1862. Before its 1925 amalgamation into the United Church of Canada, the church was listed in records as Henderson Methodist Church, as well as  Kensington Wesley Methodist Church. The cemetery is located on the west side of Route 138 between First and Second Concession Roads.
