Located in Godmanchester on a farm just south of Beaver Creek
(Beaver Crossing), the cemetery is situated west of Highway 138 in the woods
between the farmhouse and field. The cemetery is now overgrown and the stones
have fallen down. Only seven family members are known to be buried here.
Thomas Marshall was one of the first Scottish settlers in Trout River, arriving
in 1825, and was a member of the Dalhousie Settlement. He was originally
from Motherwell, Scotland.
