HUNTER, Georgina - Educationist. Was Educated McGill Normal School (Academic Diploma), and McGill University (B.A. and gold medal in English Literature 1888). She began her teaching work in the Sherbrooke Street School, Montreal; then was the English teacher at the High School for Girls, Montreal 1882-1904 where she was appointed lady principal in January, 1904. Miss Hunter ia a member of the Protestant sec. Council of Public Inst.., P.Q., and of the Educ. Compte., local branch of the National Council of Women. She retired as principal for the High School for Girls June, 1911, on which occassion was presented with an address and a handsome testimonial. She has lectured on "The Position of Women in Ancient Greece" and other subjects. Residence : Stanley
