From: Canadian Men & Women of the Time 1912 Ed. Henry James Morgan, Toronto, William Briggs, Richmond St. W., 1912 Sister of Alexander MacFee, Kutusoff MacFee and Anna Maria MacFee. Born St. Chrysostome, P.Q., daughter of Col. MacFee and Catherine McNaughton. Educated McGill University (B.A. with 1st-class honours in mental and moral philosophy 1888). She took a post-graduate course at Cornell University and subsequently went to Leipzig and afterwards to Zurich University where she secured the degree of Ph.D with honours in 1895. She was the first Canadian lady to take a degree in a European University and the third from any country. Residence: 152 W.
