From: "A Chronology of
Montreal and of Canada from A.D. 1752 to A.D. 1893"
This business established
in 1855, by David Tees, was in 1866 carried
on by him and his brother Joseph Tees, and
included manufacturing for the trade. In 1872 John
Tees joined them but in 1877 David and his son William
Tees bought the business. In 1866 at the Colonial Exhibition in
England, the firm became famous and established a large foreign demand
for their roll-top desks. Their Funeral appointments are the best.
