Here is a collection of resources for research in the portion of the Outaouais region of western Quebec.
For those who aren't familiar with the area, the Outaouais Region consists of the counties of Gatineau, Hull, and Papineau. The area faces Ottawa, Ontario across the Ottawa River. For much of its length, the historically significant Ottawa River forms the boundary between Quebec and Ontario.
On January 1, 2002, the city of Gatineau was amalgamated with many of the smaller municipalities within the Outaouais Region -- Aylmer, Hull, Buckingham and Masson-Angers.
