Geo. B Coggeshall and Henry Anthony spent this evening with me & played

Monday April 20. Worked all day in the shop making window frames. Rainy
all day with heavy thunder in the evening.

April 21. Worked all day framing. Boss, Spooner, Wyatt & Scott worked
all day, and Sherman worked half of the day. [Joseph Coggeshall usually
pays EPC, think he may be "Boss"]

Brought home 212 lbs. of coal from Fathers tonight.

Paid Samuel Gould $57 for building the cellar wall, which he finished today.
Put on the sills of the house and laid most of the floor.

April 25. I worked half a day; the rest of the gang worked 4 hours and
quit on account of storm; it has been showing all the afternoon; raised
the main part of the house today.

April 26, 1874. Went down to W. B. Chase; carried the washing to Mrs. Champlin.

Monday April 27. Worked all day; all hands there except Wyatt who went
to the Odd Fellows turnout.

Mason Peckham’s team brought me a load of lumber. Charles and Dennis Mahan
brought out 1500 bricks.

April 28. Worked ¾ of a day, all hands there but Seatle. Began to
snow about 3 oclock. Raised the first pitch of the roof.

April 29. Cold north east rain storm, stayed at home all day.

May 1. Worked all day; all hands present. Raised the uper pitch of the
roof. Charles and Dennis Mahan brought out 18 casks of lime and 200 brick.
Broke the axle tree of one cart.

May 2. Went to the City. Dennis Mahan brought out a load of lathes. Sold
$1100 in gov. bonds for $1292. Ordered some stuff at the steam mill.

May 3. Went down to New Town to see Parker Faulkner; sent the Dr. to Sallie.

a load of shingles. 8/4m

Went to the City and got the rest of my shingles and some hundred boards.
Faulkner & Fish began to tin the gutters today.

Mason Peckham brought me a load of assorted lumber. Went to the City and
got 200 brick. Saw a man on Barfoms[Barfams] Hill who had fallen from a
load of lumber and broken his arm.

chimneys, time 10 days. Finished the clapboarding.

Monday June 1. Worked all day; Spooner present. lather came out about ten
oclock and began to lathe.

finished the tining . Paid him eight dollars and sixty eight cents.

piazza floor, cleaned out the house and picked up all the chips around

and the blinds.

Mondy June 15,16. Worked all day diging trench under bay window, and stoning
it. Masons began to put on the mortar. Four men and two tenders. Paid Clark
T. Barker $1.00 for drawing load of sand. Four masons & two tenders.

the house.

boat. Started at quarter past seven and got there at half past two. Got
underweigh for home at half past three and arrived at six.
