Friday, January 1, 1875. Went to the City, with 50 lbs of lead & ½
gal & Dasnar varnish. Worked 3 hours

Jan 3 Filed two saws for J. Anthony and made some shelves for Mrs. Dennis.

Monday Jan 4 Home all day, stormy.

Jan 5, 6, 7, 8 Worked 7, 7, 6½ and 7 hours painting

Jan 9 Went to the City. Worked 4 hours painting

Jan 10 Coldest day this winter. Sallie had a stiff neck all day. Cleaned
the Soc. of the flowers

Monday Jan 11 Went to the City & carried the tank, & brought out
a bathtub & boiler.

Jan 12 Worked 6 ½ hours; sized the closet, put weather strips on
the doors, etc.

Jan 13 Worked 6 hours, made ladder to get up garret with

Jan 14 Worked 2 ½ hours; went to the City and brought out a pump.

Jan 15 Went to the City and ordered a Wyoming range of Brown, Goddard &
Barlow price 35 dollars.

Monday, Jan 18. Worked 5 ½ hours putting up grounds for the water
pipes. Two plumbers here today.

Jan 20 Worked 4 hours, plumbers 8 hours

Jan 21 Plumbers worked all day. Ordered 6 pear trees of Perry & Co

Jan 22 Worked all day: laid floor in bathroom, cased door and put down
threshold, stoped holes around water pipes, etc.

Jan 23 Worked 5 hours: finished stoping up holes around pipes, swept out
house and painted one window. Plumbers got through 2-30

Monday Jan 25 Worked 8 hours painting, had my hair cut

painting and in the bathroom.
