I am looking for the descendants of Martin and Alberdina LAMBERT. They were both born in 1803 in Germany, arriving in America on 4-13-1848, probably Ohio. With them was at least one son, Wilhelm who later called himself William LAMPERT with a P not a B. He was born 2-16-1835 in Strassburg or Mutterstadt, Germany. He married Kathrina GARDNER, daughter of Anthony GARDNER and Margaret LAMPERT GARDNER. Kathrina was born 2-2-1833 in Forsfeld, Elfak, Strassburg, Germany. Martin and Alberdina, as well as Wilhelmand Kathrina, homesteaded a farm in Jackson County, Indiana. Their first child, William born 1856, married a woman named Emma, and settled in Indianapolis, Indiana. William and Emma had several children: Mary Lampert DAVIS; Margaret or Maggie Lampert ALBRIGHT; Katharine Lampert CASTLE, Florence Lampert BRUCE, Walter Lampert married to a Flora ?, and Willa Lampert AUPPERLE. I believe that Walter and Flora settled in Newport, Rhode Island, and had a daughter named Lois and possible a son named Walter Jr. Any information on these lost realtives would be appreciated.

I am trying to determine the ancestry of Hosea SIMMONS who was born about 1808/9 in Rhode Island. He settled in Otego County New York and then moved to Columbus Chenango County New York. The NY 1850 census says that he was born in Rhode Island but I don't know where. I have researched the SIMMONS family of Little Compton and can't connect him there. I believe that the name could also have been SEAMANS and that he could have come from Scituate where there were many SEAMANS/SIMMONS families who used the name. I know there is a SEAMANS genealogy but I haven't checked it yet. Does anbody have any research on this family? Hosea had a daughter Emily J. SIMMONS who married Charles Murray WELCH in Chenango County New York. Editor, please not that the a1 in my email address is the number one not the letter L. Thank you
