MANCHESTER, Henry (about 1804 to 4/19/1886) married Sylvia Lorrinda (surname unknown) and had the following children: * Ralsman Curtis MANCHESTER (5/6/1832-4/15/1862) * Freeman MANCHESTER (1835-1915) * Joseph MANCHESTER (1838-1902) * Frances MANCHESTER (1846-?) * Mary MANCHESTER (1847-?) * Alfred MANCHESTER (1849-1921) Location of birth for each of these is unknown. They appear on the Chemung County, NY, census for 1850 but not before. Chemung County was settled in the late 1700's and early 1800's almost exclusively by Revolutionary War veterans on bounty land warrants. Many of them had served wtih Gen. John Sullivan's expedition in the area. Because of the abundance of Manchesters among Tiverton's early citizens, am hoping someone can help me with siblings and/or ancestors of Henry. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Seekinig information about the JONES family of Newport, RI. First reference I find is 1840 for Edward D. JONES born 1810, Newport. Married #1 Martha Russell TILLINGHAST, born ca. 1810, Bristol, New Bedford. #2 Abby Maria___, resided 18 Marlboro St. He was a miller. Son: Joseph TILLINGHAST JONES, born 1841 married Catherine BEATTIE/BATTEY born ca 1840, England Son: Henry J. JONES born 1860 married Tilly Rachel PALMER born 1863 Somerset, Perry, Ohio. Son: Nathan H. JONES born 1886 married Louise Carolyn ZECH born 1892 Germany. Nathan and Louise were owners of the Mill Street Laudry and resided 21 Division St., Newport. Naathan JONES died after 1935. Louise married #2 M. James VIEIRA who owned the Jamestown Shores Motel. Louise died 1959 and is buried at Cedar Cemetery, Jamestown.

Seeking information regarding ancestors of Albert MANCHESTER, b.1/6/1925 d. 2/16/1905. Albert married Lydia Gray CORNELL (b. 3/8/1825 d. 12/6/1897) in 1843. They had seven children. They left Tiverton in 1875 and traveled west to California and eventually to the Colfax, Washington area.

I am seeking information on a Daniel WIER who accompanied the Rhode Islanders who settled at Newport, NS in 1760-1761. Little is known of his early background. His name appears in the records of St. Paul's Church, North Kingstown, RI from 1743-1757 and in the Vital Records for North Kingstown, RI. He may have been employed by Benjamin MUMFORD in RI since he married Benjamin MUMFORD'S daughter Phebe on 7 April 1744 at the Narragansett Church. Daniel WIER and his brother-in-law George MUMFORD were both grantees of the Crown at Newport Township in 1661. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance
