Am trying to tie down a Dorothy POTTER in my MOSHER line: Several people have accepted Rebecca Wilcox as the mother of James Mosher, but I find that unlikely as they didn't marry until 3 years after James birth, and Rebecca would have only been 13 or 14 when James was born. Possible, but I suspect that Nicholas Mosher first married Dorothy Potter. They were pub. to marry in Oct 1723. I would assume that Dorothy was born around 1700's and died before 1728 when Nicholas did marry Rebecca Wilcox.
