WILSON, SMITH - 1880-1910 Looking for the family of Agnes Stewart Smith WILSON (my gg grandmother; b.c.1835 RFW or LKS, SCT) who passed away while a resident of Newport about 1910 while living with ‘her son’. Agnes was married (1) to Alexander SMITH and (2) to Thomas WILSON. The family (including children Mary, Sarah, Agnes, James, and Alexander; all born in Mearns, Renfrewshire between 1856 and 1864) emigrated about 1883 to Fall River, MA. From an undated obituary notice about 1910 (she was age 75) she died on a visit to St. Louis; her remains were returned to Newport. She would have been living in Newport with either James or Alexander SMITH. I assume her 2nd husband Thomas passed away in Fall River.
