In 1703 Joseph TABOR (TABER) of Tiverton, was indicted by the court in Bristol Ma. for the forceable enty, along with other men, "armed with naked swords and clubs" into the home of Elizabeth WILBOR (WILBUR), also of Tiverton, terrozing her and her family. Do you have any information on this incident and any background information on Joseph Tabor and Elizabeth Wilbur? I believe Elizabeth Wilbur (1655-1742) was married to Morris Freelove (b. abt 1651- ??) who likely had died by 1703 leaving her a widow. Joseph Tabor may be the one born Mar. 7, 1679; married Aug. 12, 1701/2 to Elizabeth Spooner; d. 1752, the son of Captain Thomas Philip Taber. Anything to assist me to learn more about this interesting period in Rhode Island colonial history would be appreciated. - Bob
