Later, in the 1860 and census records they lived in Fall River, Mass with one of the their sons, William W. Davis (my GGG grandfather) and wife Lydia. Caleb is my GGGG grandfather. According to oral family tradition, this family may have come over in the 1600s from Wales.

I'm trying to identify my ancestors on the Gould side starting with this couple and working backwards towards 1600 England. Can anyone help? In Middletown/Portsmouth RI circa 1820's-30's Charles GOULD, married to Mary Brayton SISSON (her parents were Willam Sisson and Margaret CARR HART).
Possible CARR, WILLETS, etc. connection A Captain Job Carr lived in eastern NC in early 1740s; he was head of militia unit in Currituck County, and his daughter, Phebe CARR married Thomas OLIVER, also in the Currituck County region (they lived on Cape Hatteras Banks at this time). Job Carr was listed in will of Thomas Oliver as my "Father-in-Law." I have been unable to locate where Capt. Job Carr came from, but I am trying to locate other CARR descendants who are from the NC line and who would share with me the specific connection based on Biblical or other records. He MAY have moved from RI either to NY or PA, then south with other Quakers. Thank you for any response. Florence Fulford Moore
