| I know not whether this plantation
was ever a homestead. It belonged to Mr. Francis Marion of Mount Pleasant,
and now belongs to Mr. Richard Yeadon, his son-in-law. |
| We now retrace owr steps to
the Rocks Bridge whence we returned to survey the plantations on the southern
side of the road. Descending now eastwardly soon after we leave the ample
clearing of Springfield, we find about a furlong from the road, embowered
in woods: The Church of the Epiphany "the Rocks" |
