| A portion of the estate of Daniel Ravenel of Wantoot. which passed to his son, Dr. Edmund Ravenel bv whom the house was built. Dr. Ravenel's professional duties calling him to Charleston, he never resided here and in 1836 he sold it to his overseer, W. J. Dennis. He was succeeded by his widow who married Z. Dehay. |
