FACTS:
The Chester District Genealogical Society serves Chester, Fairfield, Lancaster, Union and York Counties of South Carolina.The CDGS is completely staffed by Volunteers and is a non-profit organization.
Membership in the Society is open to anyone wishing to join. Dues are $25.00 per year.
Driving directions to the Chester District Genealogical Society Library in Richburg, SC
From Rock Hill take Interstate 77 South to Exit 65. From Columbia take I-77 North to Exit 65 Make a left turn on to Route 9 from Rock Hill, and a right turn if coming north from Columbia.. You go about 1-1/2 miles down Route 9 and you will see the sign for Richburg. You turn right and you can see the building on the right from Route 9. The library is located in a small plaza that also has the Visitor Information Center and the Magistrate's Office. There is a large sign out in front next to the road. Ours is right in the middle between the Visitor Center and the Magistrate.

A quarterly publication entitled The Bulletin is mailed to all members and includes articles, diaries, stories and more on the families and history of Chester County. Members and non-members may submit articles and information for publication.
The Bulletin is published and mailed in March, June, September, and December.
