Warrant of Appraisment

By John Durant, Ordinary;

These are to empower you, or any three or four of you, whose names are Hereunto written, to repair to all such parts and places in this District, as you may be directed unto by George D. Williams, Executor of Jacob Williams, late of said District, deceased, wheresoever any goods and chattels of the said deceased are, or may remain within the said parts and places, and which shall be shone unto you by the said George D. Williams, and There view and appraise all and every the goods and chattels, being first Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, To make a true and perfect inventory and appraisement. Thereof and to cause the same to your Hands or any Three or four of you to the said George D. Williams, Executor, on or before the Seventh day of May now next ensuing---
Dated the Seventh Day of March 1826 in the Fifty fifth year of American Independence.

This __________day of April 1826 personally appared before me
Being of the appraisers appointed to appraise the goods & chattels of Jacob Williams in the District aforesaid, deceased, who being duly Sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, Made oath that they would make a just and true appraisement of all & singular the goods and chattels (ready money only excepted) of the said deceased, which may be shone them by George D. Williams Extor of all and singular, the goods, rights & credits, of the said deceased; and that they would return a true and perfect inventory of the same. Certified under their hands unto the said George D. Williams Extor. Within the time prescribed by Law.

Williams, Administrator and their view and appraiser all & every the goods & chattels Being first sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God to make a true and perfect inventory and appraisement - thereof and to cause the same to be ____your hands, or any three or four of you to the said George D. Williams Ad'mor on or before the Second day of October now next ensuing. Dated the 2nd day of August 1830 and fifty fifth year of American Independence.

This 30th day of September 1830, personally appeared before me, John Manning, Josiah Woodward and James Whitman of the appraisers appointed to appraise the goods and chattels of Jacob Williams, Sr, deceased in the District aforesaid, who being duly sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God made oath that they would make a just and true appraisement of all and singular the goods & chattels (ready money only excepted) of the said deceased, which may be shone them by George D. Williams of all & singular the goods rights and credits of the said deceased, & that they would return a true & perfect inventory for the same. Certifyed under their hand unto the said George D. Heirs of Jacob Williams to G. D. Williams
Power of Attorney

Sumpter District: Know all men by these presents, that we all the under named heirs of the estate of Jacob Williams late deceased of Horry District do formally and full empower G. D. Williams to make sale and title to a certain tract of land of said estate containing 321 acres. Given under our hands the 4 November 1830.

G. D. Williams to John Woodward

Know all men by these presents that I George D. Williams having the power of attorney from the heirs of Jacob Williams to make sale of the lands of said Jacob Williams estate do bargain, sell, release, and deliver, to John Woodward all that plantation or tract of land containing 323 acres more or less lying on the east side of the Little Pee Dee River surveyed to Bradly Rames but having such shapes as a plat of this represents which land and plantation I bargain, sell, release and deliver to the said John Woodward _r. his heirs and assigns for the sum of 120 dollars against myself, my heirs, and assigns forever to the said John Woodward his heirs and assigns. The Petition of John Manning, attorney for George D. Williams, Administrator of the Estate of Jacob Williams, Sr ___Deceased

To John Durant, Esqr Ordinary of said District Humbly Sheeth that he has a small stock of Cattle belonging to the said Estate and he has a good right to beleave that they will be destrod in the range where they are and wishes you to grant him permifion to sell them for the benefit of the heir who at this time is minor and has moved out of the district at this time and your will Ever pray_______ 24th of March 1834 .

Know all men by these presence that we Jacob E. Williams and James Williams for and in consideration of the sum of Ten dollars, the receipt thereof Econ'k (?) to us in hand paid by the hands of Levi Moore have bargained, sold and released unto the said Levi Moore all our right title, claim and interest in and to certain lands, lying & being on the waters of the two Pee Dees formerly owned by our grand father Jacob Williams Willed to his seven sons and we the heirs of Vigage Williams, do bargain, sell and release all our right Title, claim & interests to the aforesaid Levi Moore and by these presence do Warrant and defend to him and his heirs this aforesaid Land against ourselves, our heirs, Administrators and assigns or any other person or persons claiming under us the same or every part. Witness our hand, and seal this day of 15 March AD 1851.
