"DEATH COMES TO J. HUTTO WEST---- J. Hutto West, highly esteemed citizen of Georgetown county, member of the House of Representatives for six years, and lumber inspector for the Brooklyn-Cooperage Company, passed away at his home in the Yauhannah secion shortly before 6 o'clock Wednesday morning. Mr. West was born at Yauhannah March 1, 1875, and spent pracically all of his life in this county. Always a lover of the soil he took the greatest interest in his farm, but found time to take an active part in public life. His services as a member of the Georgetown delegation is well known and he did his full share in bringing about the great changes for the better in the roads and bridges of this section. He died mourned by all who knew him and it is felt that the county has sustained a real loss. Mr. West is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Charlotte E. Ellis, and the following children: Ruth Harrelson, Frances, Lewis, Bennie, Hazel, Mae, Charlotte and Hutto West. Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at 8 o,clock, with the Rev. Hendricks officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Tabor Church yard."
