Families of Edgefield County
This page is dedicated to the individuals who have contributed their family information.
Their Families of Edgefield County pages reflect the information they have painstakingly gleaned from faded copies of census records, wills, deed, letters and provided here to share with others. Thanks everyone for their contributions.
If you have any information and/or photos you would like to contribute, please contact me,
Family Trees
I would like to collect family trees and information for anyone that has the information in a usable format. If you have gedcoms, ascii text or other formats with family tree information that pertains to families from Edgefield County, please let me know. I can also add links to your site if you prefer.
GALPHIN Family
Note on this family tree per Nan Mykel: Margaret, who was the wife of David Holmes, was his second, not first wife, and that she was Margaret Turnbull, daughter of Dr. Andrew Turnbull of New Smyrna. There is one passage from a diary which describes Margaret and the brother of Mr. Holmes hurrying into St. Augustine with news of a British attack. Margaret married second Judge Elihu Hall Bay, on September 19, 1781 in St. Phillips Parish, Charlestown, South Carolina
