This is the website of the Grand Strand Genealogy Club, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We meet on the second Saturday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Chapin Memorial Library, 14th Ave North and Kings Highway.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this club shall be to provide a forum for individual research through monthly meetings, education and open sharing of information.

The objectives of this club are:

  • To promote the study and establish the sharing of information related to research and techniques within the group,
  • To support genealogical resources at Chapin Memorial Library,
  • To encourage and assist others in genealogical research,
  • To maintain a relationship with other genealogy clubs, societies, and libraries.

The bylaws were approved by the membership at the February 2009 meeting.

2016 Application for Membership

Any person interested in genealogy may become a member of the Grand Strand Genealogy Club (GSGC) by:

  • Submitting an application,
  • Attending a minimum of one (1) meeting per calendar year and
  • Updating the application annually.

There is no membership fee.

To view the application online, you will need a PDF reader/viewer available free at (FREE PDF-XChange Viewer) and Print or download the membership application. After printing the document, fill it in and bring it to the next meeting or contact the Webmaster for a mailing address.
