I'm researching back along my father's line.....he's an Edge,
from Horry County, SC. I've run across the names of a few Adams': Nathan
Adams, married Nancy Ann Edge on 11/23/1871, their son was John Parody Adams,
who later married Susan Edge. There was also a Willie A. Adams, (b. 20 Jan
1873 d. Jan 1949) who was married to my great aunt Talula A. (b. 2 Feb
1876)...they had 3 children .... an infant son who was born 3/1911, died 4
    1911; a son Willie, (b 1906, d. 1957); and ?Ann M. (b. Jan 1897, d. Aug
    1898). Bellamy was my great-great grandmother's maiden name....she was
Mariah Bellamy, married Wade Hampton Parker and had at least two daughters,
Mary Ann Parker and Nellie Parker. These girls married two of the Edge
    brothers, Daniel Murkinson (m. 6/29/1865) and Joseph H. (he was b. 2/3/1847).
There was also a Fancy Bellamy who married Monroe Johnson Edge, son of
Jackson Brag and Frances Isabelle Edge. Vaught ... my great-great aunt, Vina
    Ann Edge (b. 29 Apr.1865, d. 29 Nov. 1955) was married to Thomas Jefferson
    Vaught (1858-1946). Also, I've just noticed a Harrelson..Rosanna E., who
married my great-great uncle James Harmon (Hillard) Buchanon Edge (b. 15 Oct
    1859).
If any of these names sound familiar to you, please let me know. I'm
planning a trip to SC (Tilly Swamp area of Horry) the end of June, to check
out info that my uncle has and to visit the family cemeteries. I hope to
learn a lot more during this trip. Hope you have some info to share!
    Thanks!

To this union was born 13 children, the eldest died in infancy.. The

    Hello
I am trying to find the parents of my 2nd great grandfather, whose name
was Willis Williford GRAHAM. My records show that he was born somewhere
    in South Carolina about 1810.
However, I do not have any records of his parents or siblings (if any).
He lived in Limestone County, AL, and was recorded as "head of
household" with a wife and 2 children in the 1840 Federal Census. He
was married to Amanda Wales CLARK (d. of T.C. Clark, TN) 19 January
1835. They were in Tishomingo County, MS for the 1850 Federal Census,
living in Clinton. They had 6 sons and 1 daughter at the time of that
census. At least three sons served in the Civil War in MS and AL units.
Amanda died, 1868; Willis moved to West Point, MS, where, in ca. 1870 he
purchased a plantation, where he lived until his death in 1879.

I am researching The Jourdan/Jordan family, starting with John
Jordan 1784-1845 and Radford Jourdan 1770-1850. These are the heads of TWO
count them TWO seperate lines that converge into one several times in the
1800's. We believe these folks came from South Carolina to Georgia to
Alabama and on to Texas. They settled in the Hardin Co., Texas area, a piney
woods and oil rich county (no money in the family ).
We have hit a wall trying to find the families of these two men,
we have LOTS of descendants but no siblings or parents. It has been
mentioned that a Samuel Jordan is the father to John, but I don't know. Did
you run across these men in your research? If so, do you remember where and
do you mind sharing with me? There are several of us cousins working on the

    Subject: Connor Family

I am researching Ophelia Connor, Daughter of Elias Connor of Conway,
SC. Birthdate is unknown for Elias; however, he died in 1912. He was
married to Nancy Jane Barnes who was born in 1880 in Robeson County (I
believe). He apparently moved to Robeson County from his home in South
Carolina. Elias's father was James Connor who was crippled. In 1860 he
owned 6 slaves. I am not sure if James lived in South or North
    Carolina. I am told that James Connor was married to Mary Nobles;
however it is possible that two family lines have been confused and his
name may have been John, not James and the wife may have been not Mary
Nobles but Sophia Bledsoe. A marriage of these two is recorded in a
Robeson county marriage register on 7 Feb 1829. Further information
indicates that James's (Johns?) parents were Everett O'Connor (who
emmigrated from Ireland) and Betty Sheppard. Ophelia Married James
Stacy Edwards from Abbotsburg and they were my maternal grandparents.
It would be interesting if this meshes with any information you've
    uncovered.

    Hi,

Anyone related to Sollie Larry Jordon (1899-1970) who married Nellie
Isadora Richardson in Horry County? Nellie was my grandmother's sister.

Subject: Your Query re Horry County Families
I have Graham (my mother), Cox (my father), Conner (distant), Bellamy (ancestral), and Jordan (ancestral) families but I did not see any immediate connection with the ones listed at your webpage--They seem to be primarily from Virginia and mine are Horry County and adjacent Marion County and NC families. I would be happy to exchange information.

    Subject: Nortons

    Hi,
My name is David Norton. I am researching the Norton Family name in SC. My
greatgrandfather was James Duncan Norton of SC (1847-1913). He was married to
a Leslie (Lesly) Jennett. In the 1800 Horry County Census there was a James
and William Norton. They both had sons that could very well be my GG
    grandfather.
    William David Norton, Jr.

They had a child named James Norton Marler, and their first sons name is William. One of their sons, Allen Marler had a son named William Norton Sr. and William had a son named William Norton Jr. Ithamer and Lydia are in the 1800 Census in Williamsburg, South Carolina. They also bought and sold land twice in South Carolina etween 1803 and 1807. Thanks Ithamer Marler's GGGG-Grandson Shan Marler. Any Help With Ithamer's parents would also be appreciated.
